You can’t be a child of the 80’s or 90’s without knowing about the “Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark” book series, and I hope you’re as excited as I am to learn that they’re being turned into movies!
I know I’m a little late learning about this (it was first announced last December), but it doesn’t make me any less excited to get the crap scared out of me again. [HuffingtonPost]
CBS Films has accepted a pitch from “Saw” writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to transform the classic short stories into a movie that centers on a set of outcast kids who work to save the town when their nightmares become a reality.
That means “The Big Toe,” “The Hook,” “The Dead Man’s Hand” and some of the other tales that still haunt your every being after all these years could be fodder for cinematic screams.
There’s no word yet on which tales will be incorporated in the movies, nor who will direct the project.
