MUST DO: Seattle Auto Show! (Oct. 15-19)

If you’ve ever been called a “gear head,” “wrench monkey,” “car nerd,” or if your blood is full synthetic mixed with a splash of 10% ethanol — you’re gonna want to scratch out a few hours (or days) off your schedule to the Seattle Auto Show starting Wendesday (10/15) at 1pm and running through Sunday (10/19) at 5pm at the CenturyLink Field Events Center!

What will you see? No big deal, just close to 500 cars, trucks, SUV’s, crossovers, compacts, luxury, sports cars, hybrids, diesel, and plug-ins to start. Follow that up with Exotics & Supercars like Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls Royce, and Bentley to name a few and you’re starting to get a taste of what you’ll experience.

Oh, and this thing.

And this.

This, too.

And a HUUUUUGE thanks to the incredible folks over at the Seattle Auto Show for giving me the 2014 International Car of the Year AND a IIHS Top Safety Pick – the Kia Cadenza – to drive for the week! This car goes far & above any other vehicle that I’ve ever driven, loaded with everything from adaptive headlights, a heated steering wheel (heated and COOLED seats!), and paddle shifting – it’s safe to say that I’m totally in love and probably won’t (but will) give it back.

(Advanced Smart Cruise Control is heaven, by the way. I don’t know how we lived without it for so long)

And that’s not even scratching the surface of the additional showcases you’ll be witnessing! There will be test drives featuring more than a dozen car-makers showing you their hottest models, an Xbox One Tour where you can play around with the new Surface Pro 3, or you can learn how to actually (and finally) take care of your car with Griot’s Garage Official Customizing Center. Even LeMay – America’s Car Museum – will be there. That’s a show within a show, or “showception” as I like to call it. ( You’ve seen Inception, right? C’mon, follow along)

If you change your own tires, bleed your own brakes, know what a timing belt is (or you’ve never heard of those things in your life) — you owe it to yourself to check out what’s happening at the CenturyLink Field Events Center this week.

About justin

He was the kid that you probably hated in elementary school. Loud, obnoxious, and attention-seeking, Justin was intent on getting what he wanted at all costs. After too many summers spent in some form of a plaster-cast, he settled for what his teachers couldn't stand: TALKING! As it turns out, it worked!
