Keith Sweat at Emerald Queen Casino
August 13 @ 8:30 pm
Pioneering the New Jack Swing style fusing electro-hip-hop production and contemporary urban R&B, Harlem, New York’s Keith Sweat became one of the most popular R&B/soul producers, singers and songwriters of the late ‘80s and ‘90s.
He also put out the single “(There You Go) Tellin’ Me No Again” from the New Jack City soundtrack, and released his third album Keep It Comin’ in 1991, debuting in the top 20 and featuring the hits “Keep It Comin’” and “Why Me Baby” with LL Cool J. 1994’s Get Up and 1996’s self-titled album both reached the Billboard top ten, selling over a million copies each of sexy and soulful singles “Nobody” and “Twisted.” In that late ‘90s and ‘00s, Sweat kept his fans moving with Still in the Game in 1998, Rebirth in 2002, Just Me in 2008, and his latest Til the Morning in 2011.
After playing concerts in South America in late 2013, he’s embarking on a US tour in 2014 and launching the Sweat Hotel Cruise for ticket buyers in April 2014 for eight days through the Caribbean.
